Route: The race starts at the East Grinstead Rugby Club and, after a short road section, joins the footpaths and trails down to, and around, Weir Wood Reservoir. Virtually all of the route is off-road and traffic free. Participants then return to the Rugby Club for the finish. Download your route map
Water Stations: Water will be available for all participants at approximately every three miles during the race, with additional water available at the start and finish. Participants are urged to ensure they are hydrated fully before beginning the race and if the weather is likely to be warm, you should consider carrying your own supply of water as well.
Prizes: All finishers will receive a bespoke souvenir medal and runners completing the full Mid Sussex Marathon Distance will receive a Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend T-Shirt. The prizes will be awarded on the finish line.
Timing: The race will be incorporating chip timing and your timing chip will be posted out to you with your race number prior to the race. The timing chips are disposable and therefore do not need to be handed in after the race.
Results: Results will be displayed as soon as is practical after the race. In addition, race results will be emailed within a few hours of the race to all participants who have provided a legible email address.
Results will also be available on the Nice Work website on Saturday evening and on the race website as soon as is practical.
Facilities: Within the Rugby Club there are showers and toilets along with on-site catering. There will be a baggage storage area in the Race HQ area, however you remain responsible for the security of your belongings.
Parking: There will be car parking available to participants and their supporters. Please follow the signs when you arrive.
Mid Sussex Fun Run: The Mid Sussex Fun Run will be the first event of the day, starting at 9.30am. They are a great opportunity for young children, parents, and families to be involved in the Weekend event. Adults who are looking for a more relaxed and sedate event will find the Fun Runs ideal. Every finisher will receive a medal.
Mid Sussex Mile: The Mid Sussex Mile will be at 10am before the main race. The Mile races are aimed at junior runners, with every finisher receiving a medal, with trophies for the top Boys and Girls. Runners receive a timing chip so they can get an exact time and placing. Junior Parkrunners will be eligible for a discount on presentation of their membership card or bar code.
