The Mid Sussex Mile fun runs will be held an hour before each of the main races. Staged in conjunction with local clubs (East Grinstead Athletics Club, Haywards Heath Harriers and Burgess Hill Runners) the Mile fun runs are a great opportunity for juniors, adults and families to be involved in the Weekend event. Every finisher will receive a medal, with trophies for the top boys and girls.
As part of their commitment to get everybody more active, more often, the Mid Sussex Wellbeing Team are continuing their sponsorship of the Mid Sussex Mile.
The Mid Sussex Wellbeing Mile is an ideal event for people of all ages and abilities to take part in. It doesn’t matter if you can’t run as walking is perfectly acceptable. Even if you have never entered a race before, the Mid Sussex Wellbeing team can help to get you started. The Mile race allows families to take part together and more importantly to have fun. There is also the opportunity to raise money for a favourite charity. There are medals for all finishers and Miles the dog will be in attendance. This is a community event that is becoming a great addition to the Mid Sussex calendar, so whatever your motivation, the Mid Sussex Wellbeing Team have lots of tips and advice to help you.
The Mid Sussex Wellbeing team provides advice, guidance and support to make lifestyle changes such as losing weight, eating well, getting more active, reducing alcohol intake and stopping smoking.
