After another successful year in 2018, when over 1400 runners took part in the three days, the weekend returns for an eighth time in 2019, comprising three races:
- Saturday 4th May 2019: East Grinstead 10 mile
- Sunday 5th May 2019: Haywards Heath 10 mile (part of the Sussex Grand Prix 2020)
- Monday 6th May 2019: Burgess Hill 10 kilometre
The three races combined will cover a total of 26.2 miles – the classic marathon distance. Using undulating roads, trails and pathways in and around Mid Sussex, the races are run over mainly traffic-free routes.
The event suits runners of all standards including those new to 10 mile races. Runners can enter each race individually but those completing all three will receive a special commemorative Marathon Weekend medal as well as their individual race medals.
In addition to the main races, there will be a Mid Sussex Fun Run open to all, including younger runners and those seeking a more leisurely distance, and a timed Mid Sussex Mile race for junior runners.
- East Grinstead & Haywards Heath Route maps are currently under review. These will be updated once details have been confirmed.
