As part of their commitment to get everybody more active, more often, the Mid Sussex Wellbeing Team are continuing their sponsorship of the Mid Sussex Mile. The events will take place over the May Bank Holiday weekend and are part of the Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend 2017.

The Mid Sussex Wellbeing Mile is an ideal event for people of all ages and abilities to take part in. It doesn’t matter if you can’t run as walking is perfectly acceptable. Even if you have never entered a race before, the Mid Sussex Wellbeing team can help to get you started.   The Mile race allows families to take part together and more importantly to have fun. There is also the opportunity to raise money for a favourite charity. There are medals for all finishers and Miles the dog will be in attendance. This is a community event that is becoming a great addition to the Mid Sussex calendar, so whatever your motivation, the Mid Sussex Wellbeing Team have lots of tips and advice to help you.

The Mid Sussex Wellbeing team provides advice, guidance and support to make lifestyle changes such as losing weight, eating well, getting more active, reducing alcohol intake and stopping smoking.

The fun runs will start at 9.30am on all three days of the May Bank Holiday weekend, before the main races at 10.30am. We are delighted the 2017 races will be hosted again at the 2016 venues:

  • Saturday 29th April – East Grinstead Rugby Club, Saint Hill Road, East Grinstead, RH19 4JU.
  • Sunday 30th April – Victoria Park, Haywards Heath, RH16 4LY.
  • Monday 1st May – Burgess Hill Academy, Station Road, Burgess Hill, RH15 9EA.
